Not long ago, the SNE, a system for paying fines with a 40% discount, arrived on the app stores in some situations.
The SNE is an application developed by Serpro and the main function is to allow, in some locations, the payment of fines by cell phone. The SNE platform is not recognized by all Brazilian regions.
Although most cities already accept the SNE as a means of paying fines and requesting discounts, there are still municipalities for which the application is not valid. The Electronic Notification System (SNE) integrates the services offered by the National Department of Transit (DENATRAN), per hour it only reaches some locations.
Avoiding the setbacks of paying in person is in itself an important reason to justify the installation of the SNE application, another function of the SNE is to forward real-time notifications to the user's cell phone regarding the vehicles that he registers.
Notifications are detailed and allow the user to save or print. Driver includes and excludes vehicles that notifications matter.
Payment of fine with up to 40% discount
According to the Brazilian Traffic Code and Law, the driver who does not contest the fine and pays before the due date receives up to 40% discount on the fine amount, after an analysis by DENATRAN.
This means that the discount is optional, so the user will have it if he is considered by the responsible body that he meets the criteria for it, otherwise he will be notified of the denial of the order.
On the other hand, if the driver contests the charge of the fine, the possibility of discount drops to 20%. Drivers who leave for after the due date to pay the fine do not have the chance to have a reduction in the amount of the fine.
How does the NES work?
After downloading the application, the driver will have to register by entering personal information such as CPF number, email address, CNH (National Driver's License) data, in addition to these data, he is asked to include the security code and to create a password.
How to download the SNE app
The SNE app is available free of charge for smartphone users with the Android or iOS operating system in the app store. In the Google Play Store or App Store, the driver must open the applications page and put the name of the application to Search and click on the option developed by Serpro.

In order to receive notifications from a vehicle and even possible violators, the driver must register it in the System. The notices sent will be for the vehicles that the driver includes in the notification system. In case of a fine, just make the payment through the app.
