CNH Digital is a way to simplify things during a police check and to help drivers who keep forgetting their printed version. It can be stored on the Smartphone and taken anywhere you go.
Those who have a CNH that is older than 2017 need to request a duplicate to access the CNH Digital application. Its value goes according to the DETRAN of each state. The Digital CNH is the same as the printed one, with the same information, except that it cannot be used for official identification.
To have CNH Digital you need to download the CNH Digital app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store. With it downloaded, you must register as a user in the app and activate the account with the link that will be sent to the email that was registered.
Once the registration is validated in the email, it is necessary to go back to the CNH Digital application to enter the CPF again and use the password that was registered. Then finish with “Enter”.
When logging into the account, select the “+” icon, which appears in the lower right corner. Then, go to the “CNH Digital” icon and select “Validation by cell phone” to continue without using the digital certificate. Tap “Grant Access” to release the smartphone camera to the app.
Scan the CNH QR Code. Then select “Next” to do the facial biometrics. Tap “OK” and do what the app asks. Enter the phone number and click “Finish”. Afterwards, just create a four-digit password, which will be used to access the app.
Suspension
CNH Digital can only be used as a way of reproducing the physical document, that is, the data in DETRAN and DENATRAN is the same for both. Thus, anyone who has their CNH suspended due to any infraction will not be able to use the digital version. The application will be able to be opened, but any police officer will be able to verify the suspension.

Drivers who are prohibited from driving with a broken score for exceeding the amount of infractions cannot issue the Digital CNH until they get their new CNH printed. To do so, you will have to go through the entire procedure carried out for the first license: theoretical and practical classes at the driving school, DETRAN test and all the psychotechnical tests required. If the new printed CNH is granted, the Digital CNH can also be made.
